Sam marched over to the table where Alex slept, holding a stack of books that seemingly surpassed her in height. She slammed the books down onto the table beside Alex's head. "Alright!" she shouted enthusiastically. "Let's--"
She was cut off by two librarians, who were shushing her. They glared, holding their fingers to their lips.
Sam chuckled sheepishly, her face turning a light shade of red. "Sorry..." she whispered. "Let's get to work." She took the book at the top of the pile and cracked it open, beginning to thumb through it.
(Should I add Alphonse to this I wonder...?)

(( You can if you want The more the merrier xD ))
"OHMYGODFLYINGCHOCOLATECOWS." The female shot up from her sleep, startled by the slamming of books beside her head. Her heart raced, and her hair, as usual, was messy.
Alex breathed, calming down slightly to send a small glare in Sam's direction, which was caught by another person standing with them. That person laughed, and she turned to him, huffing.
Edward Elric was that person, and he was reaching over to grab a book of his own to look through. His golden blonde hair was in it's usual braided ponytail, fallen past his shoulder blades.

Sam chuckled with an embarrassed smile, looking at Alex and giving a small wave. "Sorry," she said in a hushed tone.
Alphonse's metal clanked quietly as he shifted in his seat and grabbed one of the books Sam had brought to their table. "What are all these?" he asked.
"Most of them are articles. There should be some information about any murders that happened in the past few months up until now. There's a census here, too."
"Wow," he said, flipping through the book he had picked up. "... This is an alchemy book," he said, examining it once more.
Sam snatched the book from him and smiled meekly. "Aheheh... sorry, that's just some personal research I'm doing... I was going to check that book out later."
Alphonse sweatdropped, grabbing another book, this time one full of articles, and began to thumb through it.

Alex leaned back in her seat, 'supervising' now. However, From behind her red bangs she harbored a suspicious look at Sam. Ever since the night before, and their 'encounter' with Takai, she was suspicious of the younger female's actions and speech that night.
If only her horrible amazing memory could kick in at the moment and give her the details she needed to debunk the situation. All the meanwhile the Full Metal Alchemist remained near Sam, flipping boredly through a book of reports with her.

Sam flipped through a few articles until she managed to find one that she recognized. It mentioned an officer that had been murdered with a blade rather than the explosive way Scar murders State Alchemists. She peered through it, acting as though it was unimportant, and tossed it into the pile of articles she had already skimmed through that possessed no valuable information. She glanced over to the others briefly before grabbing another article and looking through it.
Alphonse managed to find an article that was similar to Sam's. He skimmed through it, then handed it to Edward. "Brother, look. This officer was killed just a few months ago, by someone other than Scar."
Sam flinched slightly as she glanced over his shoulder, hoping that too much would not be revealed. "How can you tell?" she asked in a quiet voice.
"The killer used a blade, and Scar uses reverse Alchemy."
(Feel free to be creative with the article if you think of anything you want it to say lol.)

"It could be anyone though, couldn't it? A lot of people have blades in their house.. even for just kitchen utensils..." He accepted the article from his brother and scanned through it.
"Well?" Alex had turned her head in their direction.
"This.. definitely wasn't done by a run of the mill angry housewife.." The joke came dry from Edward's mouth while he scratched the back of the head. "The place he was stabbed was a vital point, and not one that any unexperienced person could get without an amazing amount of luck.."
"An assassin level attack then. I see..." Alexandria watched Sam the entire time, gaging her reactions with a frown. Even though it was a completely off the wall concept, and not even Mustang would probably believe her do to her horrible outstanding record of telling the truth, Alexandria suspected Samantha of being connected in some way.

Sam blinked curiously at his words. "So this person must be pretty experienced. Perhaps a professional..." She ran her hand through her hair, pushing it out of her face.
Alphonse nodded as he skimmed through more and more articles. "There seems to be quite a few reports like this..." He stacked them in a seperate pile, hoping that if each one was examined they would all have valuable information and maybe link them to a suspect.

Alex moved over to them in moments from her sitting position, flipping through the stack Alphonse made a bit. "All the recent ones were in this area. So our suspect must be residing currently in an area in or near Central." For coming off as a lazy person, Alexandria had a keen eye for details.
"All these reports detail the killer as male... as well..."
Edward turned to Alex, "What's wrong with that? I don't think I've ever heard of many professional girl killers you know."
"I'm a professional killer, Full Metal." She pointed out, "These reports are false, this is most definitely the work of a girl."
Edward was startled by her sudden accusation, taking some of the papers from Alexandria. "How do you know that from all this?!"
"The children." She pointed to the papers. "Some of those people had children present at the time, and they left the children alive. How many insane male killers do you know would do that? This person has to have some kind of heart, that's why I'm saying it's a girl."
"We can't base a full on accusation from your intuition, Scarlet." Edward frowned, handing the papers back to her.

"Interesting..." Sam said, a bit hesitant as she glanced off to the side, placing her hand to her chin. "Though you do seem to be jumping the gun a bit. After all, it doesn't seem as though anyone has gotten a good look at this assassin." She grabbed another report from the table and scanned it with a serious expression. "The only descriptions anyone gave, as far as I see, were that it was a tall, dark figure." She turned a bit too quickly and the wound she had hidden under her jacket sent a sharp pain through her side. She winced a bit, trying to mask her pain so Ed and Al wouldn't find out what had happend last night.

"I suppose." Alex watched Sam's obvious pain and turned herself to the side, to watch Ed as well who undoubtedly noticed the same thing for himself.
"Hey.. Sam are you okay?" He set down what he was looking at to turn to her completely. "You look like you're in pain or something.."

Her hand had instinctively gone to the wound on her side without her noticing, and gaze jerked over to Edward. She was a bit nervous now, hoping he wouldn't be suspicious of her, and she flashed him a sheepish smile. "O--oh, I'm fine! No worries! I just... stubbed my toe on the table." She was terrible at coming up with excuses on the spot, and when she realized how stupid those words sounded she wanted to smack herself on the forehead.
Alphonse had noticed the hand she held to her side. "Your toe?" he asked in a concerned and curious voice.
"... Yeah," she said, gritting her teeth a bit.

Since her hand was held to her side, his went into a completely opposite direction then was actually expected of him. His face turned red, and scratched his cheek. "Oooh. I see.. you're having.. pains in your stomach.. but you don't want to tell us because it's... uhm....."
"Edward are you talking about cramps?" Alexandria said, half amused, half bewildered at Edward's stupidity.
He was most definitely uncomfortable with talking about female problems and just 'hmph'd' and looked off to the side. "If it's stuff like that Sam obviously knows better than to tell me the truth because I just DON'T Wanna know about that girl stuff."

Sam's face became completely flushed as she shot up from her seat. "TH--THAT'S NOT IT!" she yelled, embarrassed. Immediately after, she winced again and clutched her side from the pain. It was even worse this time from the sudden jerking of her body.
"Shh!!" The two librarians hushed her again, glaring at the group in annoyance.
Alphonse looked over at the women nervously and held up his hands in defense. "Eh! S--sorry!" he said in hushed tones.

"Then what is it then...? Are you really wounded?" Edward took a couple steps closer, leaning over slightly. "Is there something you aren't telling us Sam?"

Sam looked at them, nervous, and shrinked down into her seat. She hesitated before answering him, looking off to the side with a frown. "I--it's nothing, really... just a scratch." She held the open part of her jacket with one hand to hide her stomach while the other hand remained on her side.
Al shifted in his seat and kept his gaze on her. "Did something happen?" he asked in a worried tone.
Her eyes kept to the ground off to the side and she was silent, unable to think of an excuse and afraid to give an explanation. "......."
